Update on New Ideas

It is not very helpful to you, the readers of this blog, for me to say, “I will have updates soon on the new ideas I started developing with Turning Square. However, I have not finished turning my latest attempt.

One thing I noticed in working with the cottonwood used to make Con Tiki. This is very fuzzy wood and hard to cut smoothly as the grain is always changing direction. However, where I pyrographed it, the wood was easy to sand smooth. It didn’t want to fuzz at all. Next time I turn some cottonwood, I want to try more extensive pyrography on it to see what effects it has on the overall workability.

Hopefully, I will soon have my next installment of square turnings ready for you soon.
